Fordingbridge murder case: Tribute to 'fun-loving' Bethan Colebourn

A three-year-old girl at the centre of a murder inquiry was “fun-loving, adventurous and caring”, her family has said.Bethan Colebourn died in hospital after being found injured at a property in Whistsbury Road, Fordingbridge, on 19 October.Her cause of death is unclear and further tests are being carried out.A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and released while inquiries continue.

The girl’s funeral was held earlier. A statement released by Hampshire Constabulary on behalf of her family said relatives were “devastated”.”Bethan brought so much happiness and joy to so many people’s lives,” it said.”She was a fun loving, adventurous and caring young girl who will be dearly missed. She will be in our hearts and minds forever.” On the day Bethan was found, paramedics treated the woman at the scene.After being detained she was taken to hospital following a “medical episode” and later discharged.The girl’s father is understood to be Michael Colebourn, the chief executive of marine interiors firm Trimline.
